1 Peter 2:5-6

As you come to him, the living Stone rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Grace is More than a Prayer Before Eating

When we say the word "Grace" many people think of only the short prayer that we say before a meal.  The prayer is called grace because it is by God's grace that we have food and other resources.

Grace is God's unmerited favor.  Grace is the blessings that we receive that we clearly do not deserve.  We don't deserve it, but there it is.  But as we have received God's grace, we are called to extend Grace to others.  And here is where it get's messy.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: - 1 Peter 4:10

They say in every group of people there is a least one messed up person who really needs the grace of the others.  Now if you are looking around and you can't figure out who that is, then it is you.

There are a lot of messed up people in this world and we are called to accept them as God accepts them, because God loves them as much as he loves me or you.  And Jesus died for them just like he died for me or you.
