1 Peter 2:5-6

As you come to him, the living Stone rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Clones Need Not Apply

If God wanted us all to be the same He wouldn't need seven billion of us, he could have stopped at one.  The world tries to shape us and mold us into a pattern of the world, but God calls us to be different.

Standing apart in a world that tries to shape us is difficult.  We are bombarded daily by popular values and the political correctness.  So how do we stand out?

In 1 John, we are warned about the ways of the world.

1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

So what's the trick.  How do we fight the current?  How do we live in the world, not become shaped by the world and still function?  Any idea?  The comment section is open.
